3 Secrets That Will Make ANYONE More Confident

EVERYBODY struggles with confidence! It doesn’t matter who you are, what you’ve achieved or how beautiful you think you are. We all have days where we just feel anxious and NOT confident at ALL!

That’s completely normal.

But how can you switch your mindset in an INSTANT, to be more confident! Here are 3 secrets to INSTANTLY be more confident:

P.S. I have started a series on my YouTube channel called ‘Testimonies of Titans’ that YOU can take part in HERE

1. DON’T Get Your Confidence From Other People

The number 1 reason we aren’t confident: Other people don’t give us the attention we want!

Imagine situation A: You go to a social event. The people there love your personality, they laugh at your jokes, you fit in well with everyone and you have an amazing time.

The group enjoys your company. They give you the attention you want. So you are confident.

Imagine situation B: You go to a social event. You try to get to know people there, but they aren’t interested. Your personality is opposite to theirs, they find your jokes cringy or just unfunny, and you sit on your own feeling awkward.

The group doesn’t enjoy your company. They don’t give you the attention you want. So you are not confident.

Both of these situations can happen MANY times during our lives. But what do you do in the second situation to be more confident?

The problem isn’t just the second situation, it’s with both.

In both situations, you get your confidence from other people.

Realize THIS! You don’t have to get your confidence from other people to be confident. You don’t have to sit in awkward silence in groups that don’t enjoy your company.

Just because they don’t enjoy your company, don’t mean you can’t express yourself FULLY in your own unique way!

When Jesus was teaching to the Pharisees and the Sadducees, they did NOT enjoy his company.

But Jesus knew to express himself FULLY and CONFIDENTLY was much more important than being accepted by the Pharisees and Sadducees.

Don’t let your confidence rely on other people.

2. DON’T Get Your Confidence From Looks

Another common reason people aren’t confident is because of looks.

But looks have ZERO influence on how God sees you.

1 Samuel 16:7 says:

‘The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.’

Our society is ALWAYS changing what “looks attractive”.

Society always changes how you should style your hair, and what you should wear. But God doesn’t care!

It doesn’t matter if you have 50 pimples on your face, or if you weigh 100 stone, or if you don’t own a selfie stick!

Psalm 139: 14 says:

‘I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made.’

God made you just the way you are. You are unique for a reason. You have unique talents and abilities for a reason!

So you can go up to ANYONE with 100% confidence in God! Knowing that every good thing in you is from God!

Which leads me to the next point…

3. Get Your Confidence From God

Are you a Christian?

If not, I would encourage you to read my blog post here, where I explain what Christians believe in 300 words.

If you are a Christian, be confident in what you believe. This is important!

Believe that God was sent down to Earth in the form of a human, Jesus, who died to forgive you of your sins so that, if you believe in Him, you can have eternal life in HEAVEN! With Him!!

Believe what he says about YOU. I have an article here about the things God promises us.

Ask yourself again. Do you believe these things? Do you believe Jesus died on the cross and was resurrected from the dead?

This is at the core of true confidence. Knowing God IS real, he DIED for you, ROSE again and is ALWAYS with you. Knowing he has a PLAN for your life, ALWAYS keeps His promises, NEVER changes and loves you with a limitless LOVE!

Joshua 1:9 says:

‘Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.’

God is with you like a mighty warrior!

You don’t need to learn little “tips and tricks” to boost your confidence, like how to stand, or behave, or look into someone’s eyes.

Of course, that can help. But it is nothing compared to the confidence you get in God.

If you aren’t sure what you believe I would encourage you to search for yourself.

Don’t take anyone’s word for it! Not your parents, not your pastor, not this blog post!

Read the Bible.

Decide for yourself what you believe.

If you prefer a more visual representation of the Bible click here to visit ‘The Bible Project’ on YouTube.

In Mark 8:29 Jesus asks His disciples:

“Who do you say I am?”

We need to ask ourselves the same question.

To Conclude:

Don’t let other people affect your confidence.

Express yourself FULLY in a way natural to you, no matter who you’re speaking to. (Unless of course, it would be inappropriate to do so. Like if you are in a job interview or talking to the Queen)

God only looks at the heart.

Don’t let your outward appearance affect your confidence. Most important! Get your confidence come from God and what you believe about Him!
