7 Lies The Devil Wants You To Believe

The Devil is a deceiver, liar and master manipulator. No created being in the universe is better at lying than him. Here are seven lies the Devil wants you to believe.

1. I have no destiny.

The kind of potential you have is staggering. Why? Because you can have God living inside of you. Look at what he created! If you were to give up everything to God and unleash everything He put inside you, you would be unstoppable!

Romans 8:18 says:

“The sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.”

2. I’ll never be good enough.

Believing this lie would be a major victory for the Devil. If you feel this way, the Devil is trying to sabotage you right before you are about to fulfill what God has planned for you to do!

Ephesians 2:10 says:

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

3. God has abandoned you.

God has never abandoned you, not once! If you don’t feel God working in your life, maybe you haven’t let him in. But He is always there with you, wherever you go, protecting you, fighting for you. Wait for Him to work. God may delay His promises, but He never breaks them!

Joshua 1:9 says:

“Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.

4. God doesn’t love you.

We all sin, all the time. But even if you have committed the most horrible sin imaginable, God still loves you and wants YOU to be part of His Kingdom.

Romans 8:39 says:

“Neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

5. You will never be happy or have peace.

Do you feel miserable and dead inside? The Devil wants you to believe you have no future on this Earth. But your future is bright! The bible says the blessing ahead will always be greater than the battle behind!

Jeremiah 29:11 says:

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

6. No one likes you.

If your friends aren’t for you, let them go because they probably aren’t even worth your time. God will give you the right friends at the right times. These kinds of friends are rare, but they will be there for you in the darkest times of your life.

Proverbs 18:24 says:

“One who has unreliable friends soon comes to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”

7. God doesn’t care about your suffering.

When we experience intense physical or emotional pain, we think God doesn’t care about us anymore. But the bible doesn’t say comfort is always the answer to our problems, often it’s pain.

But through pain comes breakthroughs, unimaginable miracles and a hope for the future! Look at Jesus’ death on the cross; look at what God gave up to save us from our sins.

Proverbs 3:12 says:

“Because the Lord disciplines those he loves, as a father the son he delights in.”
